D: "Hola Santiago." "Buenos días." "Como esta?"
S: "Muy bien!"
D: "How's Chilliwack?" "Know anywhere we can stay?" "We're fleeing the Cool Creek Wildfire!"
S: "Si, Si." "Habitacion aqui." "It's an Evangelical Biker House where Travellers are welcome!" Just don't mention Guns, and don't drink more than 2 Beers!"
D: "Gracias - we'll be there at 2:00pm today."
And that's how we came to stay at Fred and Rose's place in Chilliwack. Nuestra amigos Santiago and Belen already there - "You're welcome here too!" they had said.
Night one: After he said Grace at Dinner we got Fred, Paraguayan Biker Head Honcho, talking. Told us he had a loaded Shotgun under his bed, and then drank all of our beers!
Day two: Fred invited us to a BBQ. We had to buy the meat: "Uncut Beef Short Ribs. From The Mad Butcher in town. Ring the bell at the back door and tell them Fred sent you."
So we did - got Fred's 10% discount which was just as well as Uncut Beef Short Ribs are $20.00 a kilo and we needed a BIG rack! Our slab of Beef was $64 after discount!! Also bought Wine, Beer, Yuca Root and Salad. Total cost $147.50!!! All our Budgets blown out the water!!!!
Probably the best BBQ in the World! And a snip at just $147.50!!
Day three:
D&A: "Adios Amigos!" "Ven a Visitarnos en Londres!!"
B&S: "We made memories we will never forget! Will miss you so much!! Looove u guysss!!!"
