Fairbanks is the largest city in the Interior Region of Alaska with a population of 32,751, making it the second most populous metropolitan area in Alaska (after Anchorage). The city is located 196 miles south of the Arctic Circle.
For us Fairbanks was home for 12 days - a time to relax after 4 days on the Dalton, and 290 days on the Pan American Highway.
Allen and Verna at Downtown Hideaway made it feel like home - they let us stay in their Loft Apartment - complete with its Porta-Potti - for a very reasonable rate - and made us feel part of the family. David even knuckled down & mowed the lawn: "Good enough for Wimbledon Centre Court!"
Ben & Maddie were so welcoming - thanks guys!
Belen & Santiago finally caught up with us - six months since we left them in Panama - so goooood to seeee youuuu, jajaja! And they got married!! Such a lovely day!!! Such a lovely couple!!!!
