30th October - Space Odyssey / by David Harrison

Today we thought we'd fly to the moon and back, and then we travelled to find out if there is life on Mars.  Otherwise know as the Valle de la Luna and the Valle de Marte.

La Luna has various sand formations carved by the wind and water.  There are also dry lakes where layers of salt makes a white covering as if everywhere has had a dusting of icing sugar.

La Marte is a huge canyon of rock formations.  We drove through the canyon and were amazed at the martian scale - expected to bump into Matt Damon at any moment!

Two spectacular landscapes!!!
