Toyota of Santa Cruz is based in Capitola a couple of miles from the famous Boardwalk. They had never serviced a Chilean Toyota before, and they did a great job! A few technical differences to be overcome, but they got the parts in and fitted, making Pablo look and sound like a new man!
After our lively weekend at the KOA we relocated to the Quality Inn Capitola - only 5 minutes walk from the Toyota Garage - and even less of a walk from Beer Thirty. Toyota wanted Pablo empty of personal effects! Major logistics exercise given the amount of clobber we've accumulated! After an hour's heavy lifting Quality Inn's Room 321 looked like the store-room of a Thrift Shop and we'd worked up quite a thirst!
Time for Beer Thirty! Craft beer Tap Room. By the bottle or the pint, enjoy it here or take it to-go. Thirty rotating taps, 300+ bottles, local brews, events, beer garden, family and dog friendly! And right next-door to Carpo's Fish & Chips Restaurant with a Serving Hatch out into B30's Beer Garden! Thirsts were quenched and hunger sated whilst the sun shone and we Brits people watched Craft Ale California at play!!
Next morning we dropped Pablo off at Toyota and took a walk Downtown to see historic Venetian Court "first Condominium Beach Community in the United States", Capitola Wharf "Dates back to the 1850s" and The Sand Bar on the Esplanade "Great Food, Great Beer, Great Live Music" where we sampled a couple of local Craft Ales before strolling through town back to Quality Inn. Although Amanda popped into a fashionable looking Hair Salon along the way and took advantage of Stylist Jenny's immediate availability, returning to Quality Inn looking extra gorgeous with tangle free wavy locks a couple of inches shorter and a couple of conditioners softer!
