10th-17th February - Our Week in Cancun! / by David Harrison

It's been weird the last 6 months. Us young uns have Gap Years - not Mums & Dads! Will we even recognise The Adventurers at Cancun Airport Arrivals? Cushti BA flight LGW to CAN and after our Nandos brekka we enjoy the in-flight ents to the max, before the wings dip and the sunny Caribbean Sea shows thru the portholes.

Can't miss em - there's Senor Corona in Colombian Sombrero and Senorita SB in Pradas and tanned legs.  Tears n hugs and we're aboard Pablo the Monster Truck destination Cancun Plaza Condo #4105 - the Jewel in the Condo Crown of the Zona Hotelera Oceanfront.

Big Condo - Big Balcony - BIG Ocean View - Big Fridge with Big Supply of Sr Corona's fave tipple! And lots of all important snackettes - Fuego y Limon Crisps, Tacos with yumbles Mexicano fillings + even the essential Heinz Ketchup!!!

What a week!

Turquoise ocean swims, white sand walks to Beach Bars for Coco Locos. Fabulous restaurants - Navios for seafood, Surfin Burritos for the obvs, El Galeon del Caribe for lagoonside pescadillas (complete with Crocodile warning signs - we're only ten feet from the water's edge!), Puerto Madero for Argentine steaks - all washed down with Cervezas, Mojitos and Margaritas! Tequila sunrises on the balcony and cerveza sunsets all across town.

Who knew we'd love Mexican food this mucho!!

Chichen Itza and Cenota swims - that's a separate blog page!

And muy bien famalam chats - lots to catch up on after six months apart!!

Raining in London, but 28 degrees and glorious sunshine every day here in Quintana Roo!  M&D give us the daily "Slip, Slap, Slop"  sunburn warning - and have sweetly bought us gallons of Factor 50!  They are both so tanned and slim - looking ten years younger from when we waved them farewell back in early September.

All too soon our seven day sojorn is up and with tears we are back at Cancun International Terminal 3 for BA back to Blighty.  Dad thrusts a leaving gift into each of our bags - litre of Jose Quervo's finest + Snr Corona T-shirt + a Mayan Skull - and it's takeoff time.

As our Boeing 777 banks left we look down and in the bright lights of the Cancun Strip see Snr C & Snrta SB waving - Margarita in one hand, Tissue in the other!

Muchos Gracias Mum & Dad - it's been a blast!  See you in six months!!
