After exploring the Gecko Suite of our Intimate Boutique Hotel, David did the right thing and e-mailed Hotel Ibiza to let them know we couldn't get there and would have to cancel our booking. Imagine our surprise next morning when we received an abrupt e-mail back from them to say they had charged our Credit Card the full Room Rate as we were a 'No Show'!
Bang Out of Order!!
We arrived in Jaco later and did a low fly by on the Hotel Ibiza to find that we'd had one hell of a lucky escape! What a flea pit!! Thanks Hugo on Recepcion for being such an arrogant git, not only did he charge us for the night before but he'd refused to give us a Room Rate reduction for the next night .... so what do you do under those circumstances, well first you slate the Hotel Ibiza on all forms of Social Media, then you drive round town in search of an Oasis .... please Jaco .... come up trumps for us.
We drove and we drove. "Oh" Amanda says, "Look at those beautiful beach front Apartments, it'd be nice to stay there! Must have been a sign as the board outside said they rent Beach Front Apartmentos by the day, week or month?
David popped in, popped out and popped it all about far too quickly to have booked anything! "way Way WAY" too expensive. But turns out that Juan, the Security Guard here knows a guy who has a contact with an amigo who knows someone at the Croc's Resort & Casino at the other end of town! They can do us a deal!! OMG, next thing you know we're Checking-in to Junior Suite 328, Ocean View, Crocodile View, King-size Bed & King-size Balcony. Sorry what just happened there. Don't know, don't care, it was amazing. Cheers Hugo, big mistake!
Hang on a minute - did you say "Crocodile View"? What's that all about?
There's a Pool right by the Pool divided by a low glass wall - and in it are two Crocodiles - living breathing swimming sunbathing sharp toothed jaw snapping Crocodiles - around 3 metres in length!
Their pool right below our Balcony - could have dangled by a bedsheet and joined them for Lunch!!
