21st September - still heading South / by David Harrison

Pucon here we come!

Pucon is a town in Central Chile's Lake Disrict, by Lake Villaricca overlooked by the snow-capped Villaricca volcano. It's known for extreme adventures. White water rafting, snowboarding and lengthy hikes but we've done all that before so we're mostly chilling in the lovely restaurant El Castillo on Volcano Road!

We're staying at a campsite in the main town of Pucon called Camping Parque La Poza.  It's in a wooded area filled with Eucalyptus trees. It smells so nice here. The bathrooms are much to be desired although I did have the best shower this morning since my arrival in South America, v hot water, v powerful but not so clean! I found that I was in the gents bathrooms, which came as a bit of shock to every one involved. Note to self.....should buy some flip flops for bathroom use.
