Bank Holiday Weekend here in Argentina - lots of places fully booked - for once we planned ahead - reserved the last room at 'Desert Tracks Rancho' in Las Grutas. David phoned and spoke to Fernando.
"No Español. ¿Habla Inglés?" - "A little!" - "¿Cama matrimonial? Dos personas, Hoy, Una noche." - "Si, si. Where are you from?" - "Australia" - "Buenos!"
We set ourselves up as Aussie travellers looking to roll out our Swags at Fernando's Rancho!
Turns out Fernando is a Travel Journalist who's been to Oz many times and ¿Hablas Inglés? much better than he let on!! No worries - we can do the full Ocker! And by the end of the night we've met Mum & Dad, been introduced to all the other Guests and invited out for Dinner and Dancing by a lively Argie couple!
Strewth! She'll be right!!
And so it was. We had the best night in Argentina. Sweet as! Good onya mate!!
